The Galway Market

The Next Volume

This book, The Galway Market – An Old Tradition, is the story of an ancient trading way of life in Galway. The market dates from medieval times, where the story begins. It continues over the following centuries until finally arriving in the modern market. Countless generations have experienced this wonderful place. The book is vibrant with the spirit of communities of old. It is mainly a pictorial history and an attempt to capture the special atmosphere of the market over the years. It is also a tribute to the market traders of the past and, indeed, today who have made this such an extraordinary place.
